Tenacity: Another Example

Last time I wrote, it was about a tree thriving in spite of chaos crashing down on and all around it. The take-away message: Never give up. Hold on, no matter what.

Walking on the same trail this morning my eyes settled on a different tree:

Some years ago, apparently a seedling landed on this little rock cliff and took root despite shallow possibilities for growth and survival. It used the resources available and adapted to less-than-ideal circumstances to not only survive but also thrive. This tree is now over 30 feet tall.

Take-away lesson from this tree: Use whatever resources are available. “Ideal” may never show up, so be flexible, creative, and tenacious anyway!
